As an ALDI Inventory Clerk, you maintain inventory accuracy across the distribution center through scheduled cycle counts and variance investigation.
- Cycle Count Execution: Conduct scheduled cycle counts across assigned storage zones, comparing physical counts against the warehouse management system's on-hand quantity for each slot.
- Variance Investigation: Investigate any count discrepancy to identify the root cause — misplaced pallets, mis-scans, or data entry errors — before submitting an inventory adjustment, rather than adjusting the count without explanation.
- Inventory Reporting: Compile daily and weekly inventory accuracy reports for the warehouse operations team, flagging any zone or product category with a recurring variance pattern for further review.
