Role Overview & Responsibilities
As an ALDI Cold Storage Associate, you select, store, and rotate refrigerated and frozen product within the distribution center's temperature-controlled zones.
- Temperature-Controlled Selection: Pick refrigerated and frozen product accurately and efficiently within the cooler and freezer zones, following voice-directed picking instructions while wearing the required cold-environment gear.
- Cold Chain Integrity: Monitor and maintain the cold chain by minimizing product time outside temperature-controlled zones, immediately flagging any pallet showing signs of temperature abuse before it moves further into the process.
- FIFO Rotation: Rotate refrigerated and frozen inventory using first-in-first-out principles, pulling the oldest dated product to the front of each pick slot to minimize waste and expiration risk.
